How We Work
We go to the people, learn participatory and prioritize their felt needs, and based on the need hierarchy we engaged ourselves in human service through the following activities; empowering the breadwinner of the poor families to increase their productive capacities. We follow that by incentivizing families to increase production and save for their future needs; create the right cohesive socializing environment for their community members; encourage the development of resources for the education of parents and children; develop community water resources and affordable sustainable health care through Safe water supply sanitation and hygiene, Education to women, Men, orphans and disadvantaged children of school-going age, that are willing to partner with us and our capacity warrant reaching them, irrespective of their faith background, political interest and ethnicity.
Because there are very few jobs and the breadwinners operate on very small capital and very low skill. They are, therefore, unable to earn enough to provide for their children’s needs in food, housing, healthcare, and education.
We believed that people have the resources and are able to make positive sustainable change using their locally available meager resources with little or no help from outside, we start small and expand to gather with our partnering communities through adopting the principle of learning by doing.
Though we understand that the issue surrounding poverty is very complex for sure we don’t have a single solution to answer this inherited chained rope. Depending on the need on the ground, we usually try to find some possible solutions through brainstorming, dialogue, counseling, reflection, planning, and implementation.
